Literature Text
afternoons are lazy now spent in front
of the window with a glass
of wine vodka coffee
holy champagne
I drink till I feel nothing
but the shadows still dance
and your eyes I see so close
so real lovely as untainted as before
shine like that diamond ring
bet you thought I wouldn't come
but the party was dull without your hand in mine
great logic great mind great plans
burnt down the moment you smiled at me
and brushed away with just one move of
her hips
of the window with a glass
of wine vodka coffee
holy champagne
I drink till I feel nothing
but the shadows still dance
and your eyes I see so close
so real lovely as untainted as before
shine like that diamond ring
bet you thought I wouldn't come
but the party was dull without your hand in mine
great logic great mind great plans
burnt down the moment you smiled at me
and brushed away with just one move of
her hips

sleep time
Someone's having a midnight shower,
I'm lying under familiar words,
I don't know what you're doing.
I think you're getting high,
Holding your phone for way too long,
But maybe not.
Maybe there's a guitar involved,
I don't mean 'involved',
There isn't a crime.
But a guitar seems likely,
That way you can sit quietly,
Unless you decide to sing,
I hope you sing.
The shower's stopped now,
I'll probably fall asleep soon,
I don't know what you're doing.

John
My words gush out like oil from a barrel- dark, toxic, bitter. They spill all over the couch and slosh onto the floor. I desperately want to make them stop, to scoop them all up and pour them back inside so I can hide them away in the space where all my other unwanted words go, but they keep on flowing, filling up the room, drowning me. I'm scared they'll drown John, too. I try to tell him that. Try to tell him to ignore what I'm saying, to leave me alone, to just leave, but he won't have any of that.
Because he's John- steady, dependable John- and without me telling him he seems to know exactly what I need. He pulls me into his arms as read

Soul Mates
Someone told me my soul mate was you,
Now I'm crossing my fingers hoping it's true.
I'm jumping off of buildings just to fall in your arms,
Following the rainbow, like lucky charms.
If it's you, then count on me.
If you're the one for me,
Then I will be wherever you need me to be.
Take a chance and you'll see.
This is crazy, but so is love.
So lets run, until we're free of,
All these people, and all their words.
Grab my hand, and we'll fly, like one of the birds.

This doesn't fit in the category of fanfic, so I don't know what's it doing in our folders. I don't know how to grade poetry, so what should I do with this one? Leave it there or remove it?
